"Nephrology, as a choice, came to me in an inspirational way when I lost my mother at the age of 13. She died of renal failure. Later with time, I found out that of my 6 siblings, 3 had polycystic kidney disease. My passion for Nephrology grew and I chose to go to Yale University for my post-grad studies in Nephrology. Ever since then, I have been involved in research studies in this field. I have seen this disease up close and personal, and am trying hard to heal and treat all my patients. The deep desire to treat and heal patients is an inherent gift given only to a very few. My background and personal experiences have lent me that gift. My patients openly share with me how they feel my compassion."
